The best setup for Google search and maps
You're probably already on the map. What matters is whether your profile and website are set up to rank as well as they can. Google says it comes down to relevance, distance and prominence. Nobody can change your distance. We work on the other two.
- 1. The right primary category
- The most specific one that fits, plus a few real extras. Google says categories affect ranking.
- 2. Verified location and service area
- Correct address or service area under Google's rules. No virtual offices.
- 3. A steady flow of recent reviews
- A simple way to ask after every job, and replies that mention the work. No paying for reviews.
- 4. Accurate hours
- Regular and holiday hours, so what Google shows customers is right.
- 5. A page per service and city
- Experts rank this first for local website results. Your details match your profile everywhere.
- 6. Your real business name
- Exactly as on your sign. Google can suspend profiles for stuffing in keywords.

Websites that answer the customer
People come to your site with a few questions: Do you do this? Do you work in my area? Can I trust you? How do I reach you? It should answer all of them quickly on any screen.
- Clear answers first
- What you do, where you do it and how to reach you, without digging.
- Easy to contact
- Tap-to-call on phones and short forms that only ask for what you need.
- Built to Google's speed targets
- Main content loaded within 2.5 seconds, the "good" mark Google publishes.
- Pages for what you do
- One page per service and city, in plain language, with your real work.
- Works on desktop and phone
- Canadian web use is split almost evenly, so both have to work.
- SEO built in
- Clean code, proper headings, local business data and a sitemap.

Automate the repetitive work
If a task is the same every time, it probably shouldn't need you. Pick only what you need. AI can make mistakes, so you stay in control of anything important, and we quote it per client.
- Chat assistant
- Answers common questions from your business info and passes you the lead.
- AI answering service
- Picks up when you can't and texts you a summary.
- Missed-call text-back
- The caller gets a text right away and can pick a time.
- Review replies
- Drafts a specific reply to every review for you to approve.
- Quote drafts
- Turns a job description into a draft using your prices.
- Reminders and follow-ups
- Quote follow-ups, appointment and invoice reminders on schedule.
The facts
| What the data says | Source | The catch |
|---|---|---|
| Local ranking comes down to relevance, distance and prominence, and you can't pay Google for a better one. | Google publishes no weights for these. | |
| Your categories affect your local ranking. Google says to pick the most specific primary category. | Google doesn't say how much. | |
| Experts rank primary category first, then distance to the searcher, for the map results. | Whitespark 2026 | Opinion of 47 experts, not measured data. Whitespark sells local SEO. |
| 97% read reviews of local businesses. 74% look for ones from the last 3 months. | BrightLocal 2026 | 1,002 US adults, self-reported. BrightLocal sells review software. |
| 80% are likely to use a business that replies to all its reviews. 50% are put off by generic replies. | BrightLocal 2026 | What people say, not what they do. |
| 82% say they'd call a competitor if nobody answered. | CallRail 2025 | 1,000 US consumers, stated intent. CallRail sells AI call answering, as we do. |
| About 1 in 5 Canadian firms with 1 to 4 staff used AI in the past year. | Statistics Canada, Q2 2026 | Mostly for data and text analysis, not chatbots. |
| Canadian web use is split: 50.7% desktop, 46.3% mobile. | StatCounter, Oct 2026 | All web use, not local searches. Your site has to work on both. |
Numbers we won't use: you may have seen "62% of calls go unanswered" or "85% of callers never call back". We couldn't trace those to solid studies. Check your own call log instead. We couldn't verify any Canadian figures on review habits, so the review data here is American.

Probably not
- You want a guaranteed #1 ranking. Google says no one can promise that
- You want to rank far from where you operate. Distance can't be changed
- You want fake reviews or keywords in your business name
- You need results next week. Changes can take months to show
- Your current setup is working. Then we'll tell you to leave it alone
Frequently asked questions
What do I get in the free audit?
We search for you like a customer would, review your Google profile, your site and how calls get answered, then give you a list of what to fix first.
What's the catch?
None. If it makes sense to work together, we'll tell you what it costs. If not, you keep the list.
How fast will I see results?
Google says changes can take anywhere from hours to several months to show. It depends on your market and competition. Nobody can honestly guarantee a ranking or a date.
Can I see your work?
Yes, our work page shows sites we've built. We don't have measured results to publish yet, and we won't invent any. We'll show you what changed on your own business.
Do I need a new website?
Not always. If your site is fast and answers customers' questions, we leave it alone.
Will a robot talk to my customers?
Only if you want one to. Text-back just sends a text. An AI assistant says it's an AI, and you set what it answers.
Where do you work?
Anywhere in Alberta, including Fort McMurray, Calgary and Edmonton.
Do I pay every month?
No for Local SEO and websites, which are one-time prices. A new website also needs a domain and hosting, $100 a year minimum depending on the domain price. AI automation is the only monthly service, quoted for what you need.
